Sebastian was age 6, and Charles was age 4. George had L Baumond working for him on the farm.
In 1882, George moved his family to Washington state and settled probably at Waukon, Lincoln county where he was a farmer.  He became blind at some point and could no longer maintain his farm.  From stories told by his family, the damage to his eyes was a result of wheat chaff from harvesting.  His wife Mary died in 1897, so by 1900 he was living with his son Sebastian.  His two sons Frank and Charlie were also living with Sebastian.  His two daughters were sent to board elsewhere.  Olive lived with her Aunt Martha (Castle) Behr (or Bohr) in Andrew county, Missouri.  Her sister Emma was boarding in Lincoln county, Washington.  Family stories are that George lived mostly with Sebastian, but would visit his other children, even traveling to Los Angeles to visit with Olive.  He also would take the train to visit family in Missouri.

Census 1910 Oregon, Yamhill Co., Grand Ronde, 29 April 1910 gives her age as 32 and name as Alice R. Family info from Ancestry.com gives full name as Alyce Rosalee and birth date as 23 Sep 1878, which I assume comes from her death certificate.

DEATH: Family info from Ancestry.com gives death date, and source as California Death Index.

MARRIAGE: She and Jacob must have divorced sometime between 1910 and 1920, bacause she is married to Magnus Hydle in the 1920 census (California, San Luis Obispo Co., Moro Twp).

CHILDREN: The census gives conflicting information about children for Jacob and Alyce. The 1900 census states Alyce has had zero children, and none live with them. In 1910, they have five children living with them (Charles, Mary, Alice, Wesley, Mildred), the first three of which are older than 10, and Alyce states she's had five children and that they'd both been married 17 years. So, where were the first three in 1900?
