BIOGRAPHY: A biography written by Gary Siler in Feb 2017, recorded on Find A Grave:
"John Castle's headstone was recorded in a survey of Buck Creek Cemetery conducted in 1955 by the Urbana DAR. Many of the stones had sunk below the surface or were missing. John's is missing or not visible as of 2017, but was present in 1955. His date of death and age were noted. His daughter Malinda (Castle) Winning is buried there with her husband and two children. Also, John's son-in-law Jacob Siler and grandson Jacob Siler are buried there. Not much is known about John Castle other than he started life in Frederick County, Maryland, and eventually moved to Berkeley County, (now West) Virginia, before finally settling in Clark County, Ohio. His daughter Elizabeth (Castle) Siler is buried in Wheelock Cemetery in Troy. Jacob and Elizabeth (Castle) Siler were my great-great-great-grandparents."
