10. Ambrose S. WEIPERT (Hilar , Antonius , Thadaeus , Michael , Hanss , Michael , Balthasar ) was born on 7 Dec 1823 in Ergenzingen, Schwarzwaldkreis, Wuerttemberg, Germany. He was christened on 7 Dec 1823 in Ergenzingen, Schwarzwaldkreis, Wuerttemberg, Germany. He died on 10 Jun 1908 in Clarksdale, Buchanan Co., Missouri. He was buried in Hurlingen, Buchanan Co., Missouri, St. Mary's Cem.

BIOGRAPHY: Ambrose was born and grew up in the state of Wuerttemberg in Germany where his ancestors had lived for many generations. He and his brothers Georg and Joseph came to America around the year 1849. The 1900 census for him states he'd been in the US 45 years, and had become a naturalized citizen. The story told by family members is that they came through New York and settled in Missouri. When they arrived there, one of the brothers was very sick. Either Georg or Joseph decided to return to New York and established a clothing business there.
Ambrose settled in an area called "The Kessler Settlement" which was probably near Easton, Missouri in Buchanan county. There he met and married his wife Marie Wiedmaier and raised his family. When Marie died, he remarried Anna Maria Gerrer and had one child with her that we know of.
